Green Bay Packers star David Bakhtiari recently highlighted a question about politicians and the stock market amid Nancy Pelosi’s winning streak on NVDA. Pelosi had another big week in the stock market via a trade connected to government-backed research on Artificial Intelligence.
NVDA goes to the moon
Per Insider Tracker, Pelosi was up nearly $2 million on a trade she made in December on NVDA as of Thursday. Per GH records, In January, Bakhtiari called out the Speaker Emerita for the NVDA trade, writing sarcastically, “Dope….Nothing to see here,” on his X account.
Nancy Pelosi scored a ‘whopping payday’ this week
Pelosi’s gains have continued since Bakhtiari’s Tweet. Chris Powell with Trending Politics News wrote about Pelosi’s profits this week, saying she scored a “whopping payday” on her investment:
In a display of financial acumen, Nancy Pelosi has reportedly hit the jackpot with another stock trade. Pelosi’s foray with a significant investment in NVIDIA (NVDA) has turned into a financial windfall, netting her a staggering sum that most could only dream of achieving through decades of saving and investing.
In an astonishingly short span of 92 days, Pelosi’s investment soared, accruing an approximate profit of $1,800,000. To put this into perspective, with an annual salary pegged at $175,000 for her role, the profits from this trade alone have catapulted her earnings to the equivalent of ten years’ worth of her salary according to her stock tracker.
Green Bay Packers star David Bakhtiari likes a question
On his X account, Bakhtiari, a critic of Pelosi, recently liked a caption of a Tweet by Detroit Lions offensive tackle Tyrell Crosby. Crosby asked why football players can’t bet on games if politicians can invest in the stock market:
“If as an NFL player we aren’t allowed to bet on games (which I fully agree with), why are government officials allowed to buy stocks/stock options,” Crosby asked.

Crosby has a point about politicians. The NFL has a clear policy about players and sports betting. However, league owners are treated differently than players in that regard. It is interesting how those in power get away with being able to seek riskier but profitable endeavors.
Pelosi seems to have the inside track on some trades. Bakhtiari was clearly sending a message by liking the Tweet with Crosby’s caption.
Will Americans ask for this to change at the polls this year?
