The Missouri Tigers are coming off a very successful season in the SEC. Victories over Florida and Tennessee led to a 10-2 season overall and a Cotton Bowl berth. Players in the transfer portal are taking notice of what is happening in the program and want to join. Former Clemson cornerback Toriano Pride has committed to Missouri for the 2024 season.

Missouri Tigers Land CB Toriano Pride From The Transfer Portal
It didn’t take long for Pride to choose a program. He announced on November 30th his plan to enter the portal and put his name in on the first day it was open. In his two seasons at Clemson, he amassed four passes defended and an interception. This is a huge get for the Tigers as Pride was considered one of the top corners in the portal.

Can Missouri Compete In The SEC?
While they went 10-2, Missouri isn’t viewed as one of the top teams in the SEC by many. They are looking to change that narrative. If the Tigers can load up on talent in the offseason, they should have a great shot at pulling some upsets in 2024. It definitely won’t be easy as they have to travel to Tuscaloosa to face Alabama and face SEC newcomer Oklahoma at home. Still, Missouri doesn’t lack talent and could give a lot of these teams a run for their money.

This is a massive get for head coach Eliah Drinkwitz. The offseason has started out great for them and a Cotton Bowl victory over Ohio State would be a great way to end the season.
