BREAKING: Dak Prescott Has Brand New Injury Update Following Sighting With Walking Boot

Much of the offseason is spent clinging on to fragments and crumbs of news and information, balking and breaking hard on any small update to a team or player- – especially if that team is the ever-present Dallas Cowboys, and the player, quarterback Dak Prescott.

Could The Dallas Cowboys Quarterback Be Facing An Extended Layoff?

Prescott has been the subject of both trade rumors, contract extension rumors, and honestly at this point, probably even retirement rumors.

Yet, up until today, there was no question about his health on the field going into what is currently a contract year in 2024.

However, earlier today, images surfaced of the Cowboys QB in a walking boot, with insiders and sharp bettors taking positions against Dallas in futures markets for this upcoming season, concerning Dak’s ability to start week 1, and even if he does, whether he will be back to his full self.

Yet, contrary to reports, it seems that this boot may have been precautionary, and in fact very short lived, as the Mississippi State alum now has yet another update on his foot, per Todd Archer (via Pro Football Talk).

Dak Prescott No Longer In A Walking Boot

Per reports, Dak Prescott was dealing with a minor foot sprain, apparently nothing particularly serious. Nevertheless, it does seem that more often that one would like to admit, these innocuous seeming injuries end up turning into lengthy affairs with potentially long layoffs.

On this occasion, it seems like this is actually – for now, at least – just a minor injury, so much so that Prescott is no longer wearing a protective boot, perhaps due to the exacerbated response on social media.

Anyway, it seems like Dak is more or less OK, so I guess we can go back to talking about his potential trade destinations or the exorbitant amount of cash Jerry Jones will have to dish out to keep his man in Texas.
