Miami Dolphins receiver Tyreek Hill is one of the most electrifying players in the NFL. After being traded to Miami last season, Hill put up monster numbers despite uncertainty at quarterback. Hill caught 119 passes for 1,710 yards which were both career highs. Now, Hill has one goal for the 2023 season, breaking the single-season receiving record.

Miami Dolphins Tyreek Hill Talks Breaking A Record
Detroit Lions receiver Calvin Johnson currently holds the record with 1,964 yards in 2012. Hill thinks he can break that easily.
“Oh yeah, for sure,” Hill said Thursday when asked if the 2,000-yard mark was realistic. “I think the added game gives me quite the advantage, so yeah.”
The extra game definitely helps. Johnson had one less game which makes his feat even more impressive. He wasn’t that far off in 2022 only missing 2,000 receiving yards by about 300. The extra game helps but there is one factor that will need to break Hill’s way, injuries.

Can Everyone Stay Healthy?
Quarterback Tua Tagovailoa missed five games due to concussions last season. Hill indirectly admitted that this was the root cause of some struggles last year.
“Obviously, staying healthy. That’s the biggest thing for all of us, and feel like some injuries derailed us from being exactly where we wanted to be at last year,” Hill said, per a team transcript. “So, just staying healthy, being available for one another and just practicing fundamentals and techniques each and every week and staying accountable.”
Head coach Mike McDaniel proved that he can create a prolific offense and with Jaylen Waddle and Chosen Anderson on the field, Hill will have plenty of opportunities to make big plays.
The Miami Dolphins are hoping for a big year out of Tyreek Hill and many players on the offense. The AFC is going to be a tough conference this year and if the Dolphins are going to break through, they might need a record-breaking performance from Hill.
