The Miami Dolphins won an absolute thriller during Opening Week in the NFL.  With less than two minutes in the game, Tua Tagovailoa hit Tyreek Hill for a 4-yard game-winning touchdown pass.  The final was 36-34 and has already been deemed an early “game of the year” candidate.

As the Dolphins prepare to get ready to host the New England Patriots, they are doing so without a key offensive playmaker.

Miami Dolphins’ Raheem Mostert Misses Practice Due To Knee Injury

Mostert was added to the injury report with a knee injury that prevented him from practicing. There is no word on the severity of the injury, but if he does not practice in the coming days, he may miss Sunday’s game. De’Von Achane or Salvon Ahmed will be called upon to fill in for him should he be limited or out against the Patriots.

On Sept. 20th, 2020, Mostert suffered an MCL sprain against the New York Jets during the second quarter. He missed the next two games as a result.

Then, in June 2021, Mostert injured his patella during organized team activities (OTAs). The June workout session eventually cleared him for 49ers training camp.

However, he spent most of the season on injured reserve after sustaining chipped cartilage in his knee in the season opener against the Detroit Lions.

Hopefully this injury is short term for Mostert and the Dolphins, otherwise, they may be pressed to make a move at running back even sooner than anticipated.
