The Miami Dolphins had a promising 2023-24 NFL season under the direction of head coach Mike McDaniel. Superstar wide receiver Tyreek Hill earned a unanimous first-team All-Pro nod with nearly 1,800 yards and 13 touchdowns with the playcalling of McDaniel. Despite a respectable 11-6 record, the Miami Dolphins narrowly missed out on home-field advantage for their Wildcard matchup and lost to the back-to-back Superbowl champion Kansas City Chiefs in sub-zero temperatures.
In the sole postseason game for the Miami Dolphins in 2024 Tyreek Hill tallied just 62 yards and caught the Dolphins’ only touchdown for the game. In what can be considered a “revenge game” for Tyreek Hill, the offense was out of sorts and could not pick up any steam against one of the best defenses in the NFL. After this game, Tyreek Hill recently revealed he was grilled by Mike McDaniels for his performance.
Miami Dolphins Superstar Reveals Harsh Coaching On Podcast Appearance
Tyreek Hill made an appearance on the ‘Million Dollaz Worth of Game’ podcast and revealed the select phrases Mike McDaniel gave him in the film room post-playoff loss to the Kansas City Chiefs. The play that sparked the flame was a play that found popularity on social media, a play that found Hill jammed to the ground of the line of scrimmage by star cornerback L’Jarious Sneed.
“He called me out, he’s like, ‘Reek, you’re supposed to be the best player in the league, and you got this guy putting hands all over you like that. We pay you all this money for what?'” Hill said in the ‘Million Dollaz Worth of Game’ podcast. “And for me, I love s–t like that, because I’m gonna take s–t like that to heart and I’m gonna get better from it. That’d never happen again to me in my life. If a m—-rf—-r can’t hold me accountable, I feel like I’m not gonna be able to get better.”

However, some football fans had trouble picturing the scenario due to Mike Mcdaniels’ seemingly non-confrontational personality and look.
This Mike McDaniel?

It will be interesting to see how the playoff loss affects the 30-year-old superstar on the field, as he opens as the second betting favorite to win the 2024-25 Offensive Player of the Year.
