The Miami Dolphins entered today $13.32 million over the cap and need to be salary cap compliant by the start of the new league year. Miami has been very busy today and did not waste any time freeing up much-needed cap space. The Dolphins have already released Raheem Mostert and Durham Smythe, clearing up around $5 million, and they are now $8.20 million over the cap.

The team made their third roster move of the offseason a little while ago.

If Fuller is a pre-June 1st cut designation, the Dolphins would free up $2.761 million in cap space and incur a dead cap hit of $5.412 million for 2025. However, if he is a post-June 1st cut designation, the team will free up $6.820 million on June 2nd, and his $5.412 million dead cap would be spread into the 2026 offseason at a rate of $1.353 million for 2025 and $4.059 million for 2026.

Kendall Fuller had a disappointing 2024 campaign, missing six games with injuries and struggling on the football field. Fuller recorded 50 tackles and seven pass deflections, allowing 32 receptions on 47 targets for 358 yards, one touchdown, and a 97.7 passer rating in 11 games. He missed four games with two separate concussions and two with a knee injury.
