Matt LaFleur and the Green Bay Packers went into Week 8 hoping to pull off a big-time win over the Minnesota Vikings. They were hoping to get their season back on track after losing three straight games. Unfortunately, the exact opposite ended up happening.
When everything was said and done, the Packers lost to the Vikings by a final score of 24-10. Even the home crowd wasn’t enough to get much energy out of Green Bay on either side of the football. The entire game was an all-around embarrassment for Green Bay.
Once again, fans were left wondering about Jordan Love following another disappointing performance. The offense around him was even worse, with receivers dropping passes and the game plan looking sketchy at best. Nothing went right for the Packers.
Following the game, LaFleur had a very blunt response to his team’s performance. He didn’t hold back one bit and said everything that fans had been thinking. Fans may want action not words, but these words are certainly true for every single fan to agree with.

What’s Next For The Green Bay Packers?
Next up for the Packers will be a Week 9 contest against the Los Angeles Rams. The Packers are at home once again, so fans can only wait and see whether or not the team actually shows up. It’s a game that gives Green Bay another shot to right the ship and get back to stringing a few wins together.
Hopefully, the Packers’ offense will begin figuring things out. LaFleur himself has come under fire for the offenses performances. Some fans have even started to push for Green Bay to fire him from his head coaching duties.
Of course, all of this was to be expected. The Packers have an average roster age of 25 and are fresh off of moving on from one of the best quarterbacks to ever play the game. Aaron Rodgers had a lot to do with this kind of dismal play not happening over the past couple of years.
With that being said, fans need to stay patient. Love was never going to replace Rodgers seamlessly. He was never going to be an immediate superstar following in the Brett Favre and Rodgers footsteps.
This was always going to be a long season and it hasn’t disappointed from that fact. LaFleur and company simply have to grow and improve throughout the last 10 games. More effort should be expected, but the growing pains are going to be there and they’re going to be frustrating.
It will be interesting to see how the team comes out next week against the Rams. Love needs to step up and put together a big performance, but his young playmakers must have a coming out party as well. If they don’t, gear up for yet another rough week against a very talented Rams team.
