The LSU Tigers had a huge game at home in SEC Conference play on Saturday night against the Ole Miss Rebels. A loss for the Tigers could very much put their college football playoff hopes in doubt. Instead, the Tigers held the Rebels to a field goal on the first possession in overtime to give themselves a chance to win.
Garrett Nussmeier threw a 25-yard touchdown pass to Kyren Lacy for LSU in overtime to win the 29-26 over Ole Miss. Nussmeier completed 22-of-51 passes for 337 yards, three touchdowns, and two interceptions. Lacy caught five passes for 111 yards receiving and one touchdown.
LSU Tigers Fans Not Satisfied With Being Ranked 8 In the AP Poll Entering This Week
The LSU Tigers were not a Top 10 team in the country before last week. They are now ranked 8th in the AP Poll this week. LSU is 5-1 on the year and they dropped Ole Miss to 5-2 on the season. The Tigers fanbase is not satisfied with this ranking and they feel like big things could be coming for this program for the remainder of the season. Here is what LSU fans said on Twitter:
GOOD ISN’T GOOD ENOUGH. HANDLE ARKANSAS AND A&M BEFORE THE BYE WEEK. TAKE CARE OF BUSINESS. GEAUX TIGERS!

Where’s that MFer that said he didn’t rank LSU cuz they aren’t a good football team?
I JUST WANNA TALK TO HIM

Ole Miss won that game if it was called fairly. The strip fumble taken away. The push-off by Lacy for the “TD” (that wasn’t). I know it. You know it. THE NATION KNOWS IT. LSU ARE FRAUDS. Ole Miss was the better team, but it’s not what NCAAF wanted. Sad day for football.

Proud of you, guys! Still some improvements, including Nuss working on his passes, but we’re getting there! Time to handle business from here on out! 😏😎💜💛👍🏿

This is a huge win for the LSU Tigers against the Ole Miss Rebels. The tune will also change on head coach Brian Kelly for now. LSU has a chance to make the postseason after this big win.
LSU Faces the Alabama Crimson Tide On November 9
On November 9, the LSU Tigers will face the seventh-ranked Alabama Crimson Tide at home. This is another football game that could have huge implications for the college football playoff picture. The SEC Conference is unpredictable at the moment.
What the LSU Tigers can not do after the win against the Ole Miss Rebels is have a letdown week on the road against the Arkansas Razorbacks. The Tigers are talented enough to be in the playoffs this season and do some damage.
