Jacksonville Jaguars: Everyone on Social Media Is Saying the Same Thing About Head Coach Doug Peterson

The Jacksonville Jaguars fell to 1-5 on the season following their disastrous loss to the Chicago Bears in London on Sunday morning. After scoring a field goal and keeping Chicago scoreless through the first quarter, Jacksonville ceased to be able to execute on both sides of the ball.

Two inexcusable turnovers, an interception thrown by Trevor Lawrence and a fumble by tight end Evan Engram, led to Bears touchdowns. Defensively, the Jaguars could not stop Chicago rookie quarterback Caleb Williams, who threw for four touchdowns while dashing Jacksonville for 56 yards on the ground. Bears running back D’Andre Swift also could not be stopped as he averaged over five yards a carry and scored a touchdown.

Fans Want the Jacksonville Jaguars to Fire Head Coach Doug Peterson

Even before the game ended, fans took to social media to express their disdain for Jaguars head coach Doug Peterson. Even though Jacksonville owner Shad Kahn recently expressed his faith in Peterson to turn the team around yet this season, fans do not believe that it will happen.

    They want him gone:

I don’t think anyone has ever been fired between London games before. Doug Peterson out here trying to be a trailblazer.

    — Mike Somich (@Somobomb18) October 13, 2024

I use to think that Doug Peterson was a good coach. Idk anymore. Between his how he handled Hurts in Philly and now Lawrence in Jacksonville…. He may be the problem.

Doug Peterson just gave an interview where you can see he is losing his job after 2 weeks in London.

Doug Peterson getting fired I can’t see him making it end of season

As one can see, fans expect Peterson to be the next NFL head coach fired this year. The New York Jets fired Robert Saleh after their own loss in London last week.

As one fan notes above, the Jaguars are overseas this weekend and will play in London again next week. One has to wonder if Jacksonville would fire him while the team is in England.
