Los Angeles released Brian Allen after spending six seasons with the team.
Here’s a quick review of his NFL career.
Allen pre-contract extension

The Los Angeles Rams drafted Brian Allen in the 4th round, 111th overall in the 2018 NFL Draft.
Allen was the backup to John Sullivan in his rookie season, appearing in 13 games and making zero starts.
Allen took over as the starting center and started the first nine games in his second season. He suffered a serious knee injury in Week 10 and missed the remainder of the season. He had five penalties, allowed one sack, and a 58.6 PFF Grade.
Allen missed the entirety of his third season because of the knee injury he suffered in the previous season.
Allen returned to the starting rotation and battled a knee and a partially torn UCL injury in his fourth season, but managed to play in 16 out of 17 regular season games and every postseason game. He had five penalties, five sacks allowed, and an 80.2 PFF Grade.
Allen signed a 3-year, $18 million contract extension during the 2022 offseason.

Allen appeared in seven games in his fifth season. He missed ten games because of a knee and thumb injury. He had one penalty, four sacks allowed, and a 63.8 PFF Grade.
Allen lost the starting job to Coleman Shelton in his sixth season. He appeared in five games and made zero starts.

According to Over The Cap, Los Angeles is expected to free up around 4.9 million in cap space by releasing Allen.
What now?
Allen’s future in the NFL is uncertain, but he could receive interest from some teams. The teams that could be interested in Allen include the Miami Dolphins (Connor Williams is a free agent), Denver Broncos (Lloyd Cushenberry III is a free agent), Los Angeles Chargers (Corey Linsley is expected to retire), Washington Commanders (need a center), and Chicago Bears (Lucas Patrick and Cody Whitehair are free agents).
