The Los Angeles Chargers could have a new-look offense in 2024.
In ESPN’s latest free agency projections, the Los Angeles Chargers could be targeting a major upgrade to help protect franchise signal caller, Justin Herbert.
“Besides left tackle Rashawn Slater, the Chargers are devoid of offensive line talent. Coach Jim Harbaugh would love to add a 6-foot-3, 330-pound people-mover in the run game. And Onwenu proved with the Patriots this season that he also has the ability to hold an anchor in pass protection at either guard or right tackle, which would help Justin Herbert. Los Angeles has to get better up front this offseason, so look for the club to make some cuts in order to clear cap space and address this unit.”
Los Angeles Chargers In ‘Win Now’ Mode with Jim Harbaugh
Following an injury-riddled 2023 season, the Los Angeles Chargers are ready for a new era. Brandon Stanley was dismissed on ‘Black Monday’ on the day after the end of the NFL’s 2023 regular season. Just weeks after winning a National Championship with the Michigan Wolverines, Jim Harbaugh left Ann Arbor for ‘The City of Angels’ in Los Angeles. Harbaugh brought over Jesse Minter from Michigan to man the defense while hiring Kellen Moore to be the club’s new offensive coordinator.
With the coaching staff seemingly set, the Chargers now turn their attention to roster retention, cuts, and the fifth pick in this coming April’s NFL Draft.
