The Las Vegas Raiders have gone through many changes as a team since the 2023 season. The team has hired Antonio Pierce as their permanent head coach after firing Josh McDaniels while also hiring Tom Telesco as their general manager. While things are looking up overall, there have been several questions surrounding the future of star receiver Davante Adams after rumors have speculated that he could seek a trade this offseason. However, the team has made it clear as of Tuesday what they are planning to do with the star receiver this offseason.
Las Vegas Raiders Make Decision On Davante Adams
Telesco revealed that the Raiders have no plans to trade Adams this offseason, telling reporters that “he’s a Raider” when asked about the rumors. This is big news for Las Vegas as Adams has been one of the team’s best playmakers on offense, and losing him would likely cause the team to go into a slight rebuild.

Davante Adams Trade Rumors
Adams throughout the 2023 season expressed major frustrations with the team after a slow start to the year, which led many fans and analysts to speculate that he would seek a trade to a different team this offseason. Some projections had him going to the New York Jets to reunite with his old Green Bay Packers teammate Aaron Rodgers, but those rumors can officially be put to rest for now.
Many also expected him to request a trade at the 2023 trade deadline after expressing how the team does not have a winning culture installed in the locker room. However, after the team let go of former head coach Josh McDaniels, the attitude of the team seemed to change immediately, including Adams who said he would “run through a wall” for Antonio Pierce.
Star Due For Breakout Year?
Adams has been one of the league’s premier receivers since joining the NFL back in 2014, starting with the Packers and coming to Las Vegas in 2022. He has amounted to 10,781 total receiving yards, 872 receptions, and 95 touchdowns throughout his career. His talents have not regressed despite trying to fit into a new system, and many Raiders fans believe he is due for a breakout year in 2024.
Do you think that Adams should still seek a trade, or is he making the correct decision to stay in Las Vegas?
