The Las Vegas Raiders continue to fill out their coaching staff for 2024, one that will not consist of former quarterbacks coach and interim offensive coordinator Bo Hardegree. The 39-year-old and the Raiders parted ways at the end of this season, completing Hardegree’s two-year stint with the club. However, he did not last long on the open market, signing with a team on Thursday. According to NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport, Hardegree will sign with the Tennessee Titans as their quarterbacks coach under bench boss Brian Callahan.

Callahan took over for former head coach Mike Vrabel in Tennessee late last month. Callahan called offensive plays for the Cincinnati Bengals from 2019 to 2023, working with star quarterback Joe Burrow.
Bo Hardegree: Leaves Las Vegas After Two Seasons
Bo Hardegree joined the Las Vegas Raiders in 2022, becoming the quarterbacks coach under head coach Josh McDaniels. The Raiders finished 6-11, with Derek Carr throwing for 3,522 yards, 24 touchdowns, and 14 interceptions. The Raiders transitioned from Carr to former San Francisco 49ers signal-caller Jimmy Garoppolo for the 2023 season. Garoppolo battled injuries, throwing for 1,205 yards and seven touchdowns against nine picks in seven games.
Las Vegas fired McDaniels, offensive coordinator Mick Lomardi, and general manager Dave Ziegler following the team’s 26-14 loss to the Detroit Lions in Week 8. The Raiders promoted linebackers coach Antonio Pierce to head coach while moving Bo Hardegree to offensive coordinator. The AFC West club went 5-4 with the duo of Pierce and Hardegree, including posting a 63-21 win over the Los Angeles Chargers. The Raiders eclipsed 330 offensive yards five times during that span, an accomplishment they only achieved twice during the season’s first eight weeks. The Raiders averaged 23 points per game under Hardegree.
Las Vegas Raiders: Eyeing Offensive Improvements
The Raiders scored 19.5 points per game last season, the 23rd-worst mark in the NFL. Las Vegas currently has rookie quarterback Aidan O’Connell as the primary signal-caller. He threw for 2,218 yards and 12 scores against seven picks last year. He completed 62% of his passes.
Las Vegas owns the 13th pick in the upcoming draft. NFL Network’s Daniel Jeremiah has the team selecting Penn State Nittany Lions offensive tackle Olumuyiwa Fashanu in his latest mock draft.
