Questions about retirement are sure to be popping up during Super Bowl week ahead of the Philadelphia Eagles matchup against the Kansas City Chiefs on Feb. 9. Last year, Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce and head coach Andy Reid were the subject of retirement rumors before they knocked off the San Francisco 49ers.
Reid and Kelce vowed to return for a three-peat and signed new contracts in the offseason.
Before the season, defensive lineman Brandon Graham said he planned to retire with the Eagles after 2024. However, he recently suggested he could return in 2025. Another Eagles star plans to come back next season in the hopes of earning another title.

Per Inside The Iggles, offensive lineman Lane Johnson confirmed he would not retire following the Super Bowl.
“No, I’m definitely not retiring after this game, win or lose,” Johnson said, “definitely playing next year. That’s really how you take it, I guess, when you get up there in age, you take it one year at a time. Physically, I feel a lot better than I have in the past couple years, feel really good. For being this late in the year, it’s usually not like that. I’m thankful, we’ve got a good team here to help us out with with all that.”

The former Oklahoma Sooners standout has started in all 158 games he’s appeared in. Johnson has played all of his snaps for the Eagles.
