Kyler Murray was one of the many NFL players who reacted to Kyren Lacy’s tragic death. Lacy, who played for the LSU Tigers as a wide receiver in the last season, passed away over the weekend in an apparent suicide. Lacy was involved in legal issues involving a negligent homicide last December as a result of his rash driving. During a police pursuit on Saturday night, the talented player crashed his car and was found deceased later.
Murray took to X to share his sadness at Lacy’s death and also post his condolences for the former LSU Tigers wide receiver’s family. Kyren Lacy was indeed one of the most talented draft prospects for the upcoming season. After his legal issues, Lacy’s draft stock actually plummeted, which might have further added to his depleted emotional state apart from the intense media scrutiny surrounding his case.
“One of the saddest stories all around man, RIP to Kyren Lacy. My thoughts and prayers are with his family and the LSU community. I also want to extend my condolences to Herman Hall and his family. Everyone lost in this scenario. Hug your loved ones tight, tomorrow isn’t promised.” Kyler Murray tweeted through his X account.

Kyren Lacy was exceptional for the LSU Tigers as he played from 2022 to 2024 for the team. In the 2024 season, the wide receiver managed 58 receptions for 866 yards for the Tigers. Before the LSU Tigers, Lacy played for the Louisiana Ragin’ Cajuns from 2020 to 2021. After his impressive season with the LSU Tigers, Lacy declared for the NFL draft.

Meanwhile, Kyler Murray is gearing up for the 2025 NFL season with the Arizona Cardinals. Murray has been playing for the Cardinals since 2019 after the team selected him as the first pick in the very first round of the NFL draft. Before the NFL, Murray played college football for the Texas A&M Aggies and the Oklahoma Sooners.
Kyler Murray Hopes To Run More For the Cardinals This Season
In other news, Kyler Murray hopes to run more for the Arizona Cardinals as their star quarterback. Murray injured his ACL back in 2022 and underwent surgery for the same. However, he has been playing quite apprehensively after the surgery and admitted in a recent interview he was still not fully comfortable in the 2024 NFL season.

In the previous season with the Arizona Cardinals, Murray managed to throw for a total of 3,851 passing yards, scoring 21 touchdowns while managing 11 interceptions. This was definitely much better than his stats in the previous couple of seasons after his ACL injury.
