The San Francisco 49ers watched their chance at the playoffs get even slimmer this week when they lost to the Green Bay Packers 38-10.
Head Coach Kyle Shanahan has been having a rough season, and a lot of that has been due to his team’s inability to stay healthy. Star running back Christian McCaffrey missed the first half of the season, and now quarterback Brock Purdy is injured and missed the Packers game.
Is Kyle Shanahan On The Hot Seat?
The 49ers now have a losing record of 5-6 and sit in last place in the NFC West, but they still aren’t far out of it, with the first team in the division, Seattle, only sitting with a 6-5 record.
Even though Shanahan has been one of the best coaches in the NFL over the last few years, one media outlet is asking everyone if he should be on the hot seat.

It is a silly question to ask since the 49ers were a few plays away from winning the Super Bowl last season, but some people feel he should be looking for a new job this winter.
Shanahan has proven to be a great offensive mind and has won with many different people playing quarterback throughout all his coaching stops in the NFL, so firing him would be a major mistake.
San Francisco still has time to figure it out this season and make a run toward the playoffs, and now we will have to see if they can do it, but no matter what happens, Shanahan isn’t going anywhere.
