The Rams Hold the No. 83 and No. 99 Overall Picks in the Third Round of the Draft
The first round selections in the upcoming draft will be made on April 25, 2024, beginning at 8:00 p.m. EST.
The Rams hold the 19th overall pick in the first round.
The second and third round selections will be made on April 26, 2024.
The Rams hold the 52nd pick (second round) and the 83rd and 99th picks (third round).
Multiple Analysts Forecast Yale OT Kiran Amegadjie Going to the Rams in the Third Round
ESPN rates Amegadjie as the 90th-best player in the entire draft, and the 16th-best OL prospect. That rating situates Amegadjie right in between the Rams’ two third-round slots.
As noted above, several sports analysts are forecasting that Amegadjie will go to the Rams in the third round.
For example, Turf Show Times assesses Amegadjie will go to the Rams with the 83rd overall selection in the third round.
Likewise, NFL Spin Zone forecasts the Rams taking him with the 83rd overall pick, and makes the following observations:
“The Rams have never shied away from going after sleepers higher than the consensus thinks they will go. And I’m not so sure this is early enough for Kiran Amegadjie. Anytime you get a left tackle prospect with his size, length, and athletic traits, NFL teams are going to be lined up.
“The Rams get him here in the third round, a great spot to mitigate the risk involved and take their time with his NFL development.”
And, the Rams would have time to develop Amegadjie, as all of pieces of their starting offensive line are in place for the 2024 season.
Amegadjie made a favorable impression at the NFL Combine.

Scouting Reports Concerning Amegadjie
Pro Football Network offers the following assessment:
“The 2024 NFL Draft OT class is well-documented as having potentially a dozen future starters. Joe Alt, Olu Fashanu, Troy Fautanu, JC Latham, Taliese Fuaga, and Amarius Mims are known commodities at the top. Others like Jordan Morgan, Tyler Guyton, Graham Barton, Kingsley Suamataia, and Patrick Paul also factor in.
“But there’s one early-round OT prospect who doesn’t always get his due — being an FCS product — and that’s Yale’s Amegadjie.
“Amegadjie started every game for Yale at right guard in 2021 before moving to left tackle and locking down the blindside in 2022. He reprised his role as left tackle in 2023 but saw his season end prematurely in October after suffering a torn quad.
“The hope was that Amegadjie would have been able to produce more tape, but when he was on the field for Yale, he was dominant. He was a first-team All-Ivy League selection in 2022, and he never allowed a sack at tackle.
“Amegadjie looked exactly the way you want early-round prospects to look at the FCS level. He was a tier above his opponents, and his physical profile should help him draw plenty of interest in the 2024 NFL Draft.”
Sports Illustrated has also weighed in:
“At 6-foot-5 and 326 lbs, Amegadjie stands out not just for his size but also for his athleticism and agility. His time at Yale has shown him to be a formidable anchor at the left tackle position, with the versatility to perform at left guard. His exceptional arm length and good weight distribution make him an ideal candidate for the tackle spot, able to counter speed rushers effectively and excel in space.
“Amegadjie’s lateral quickness and mobility allow him to engage defenders quickly and maintain this engagement with a strong leg drive. His body control when moving to the second level is exemplary, and his finishing mentality is evident in his desire to drive defenders into the ground. However, this tenacity can sometimes lead to overaggressiveness, a minor flaw that crafty defenders have exploited.
“Amegadjie demonstrates a very good set range and quickness in pass protection, with strong, heavy hands that neutralize pass rushers. His lateral agility allows him to mirror defenders efficiently, though there are moments where improved leverage could enhance his effectiveness.
“Amegadjie projects as a high-end NFL rotational prospect. He has the potential to become a starting-caliber player in the NFL, particularly within a zone-blocking scheme that would take full advantage of his athleticism and mobility.”
