Keenan Allen will be a Chicago Bear in 2024. The longtime Chargers star Wide Receiver was moved to Chicago this week for a 4th round pick, but recent news has emerged to suggest that the star was nearly moved to two other clubs looking for his services.
Keenan Allen Had a Solid 2023

In 13 starts for the Chargers last season, Allen remained as solid as he’s ever had in the powder blue. The 10-year veteran caught 108 passes for over 1,200 yards and hauled in seven touchdowns for the Chargers. However, Allen was injured in Week 14 against the Denver Broncos as part of a season-ending collapse that saw the team end the year losing eight of their last nine.
Allen received a nod to return to the Pro Bowl Games and had a fantastic weekend, but the NFC would ultimately take down Allen and the AFC All-Stars.
Jets, Texans Were Teams Keenan Allen Sought to Be Traded To

Bears reporter Courtney Cronin revealed the following behind the process of how Allen wound up in the Windy City:
Keenan Allen was on the phone with his agent Joby Branion Thursday when the Bears called in the process of working out a trade with the Los Angeles Chargers. Allen said there were two teams the Chargers would allow him to explore in a trade – the Jets and the Texans – but…

Seeing the New York Jets and Houston Texans as interested suitors for Keenan Allen reveals a good deal about what further moves both teams attempted to undertake after a busy early week. The Texans gave their #23 overall pick to the Vikings on Friday, which likely confirms Minnesota’s intentions in next month’s NFL Draft: to move up and grab a quarterback in a draft where four of the top 6 selections may be at the position.
The New York Jets being on Allen’s list of clubs could have put Allen in more of a precarious situation than meets the eye. Aaron Rodgers, the team’s foremost 2023 offseason acquisition, openly suggested this week he may spurn the Jets and retire to join Robert F. Kennedy Jr. on his presidential campaign.
Regardless of the speculation involving Allen and his potential suitors, he will still be joining a Bears team that is ripe to make a significant jump in 2024.
How Might Keenan Allen Perform in 2024?

Allen will join DJ Moore in Chicago. Moore and Allen will likely soon be joined by one of the draft’s top 3 players at the position with Chicago’s 9th overall pick in 2024. Chicago may just possess one of the league’s best Wide Receiver rooms due to these moves, but the quarterback position remains in question for the Bears. Justin Fields has, as of this writing, still not been moved from Chicago and Caleb Williams’s case to be selected #1 overall only grows stronger by the day.
