The Kansas City Chiefs appear interested in adding to the pass-catching needs late in the season after they worked out a pair of tight ends Tuesday. The Chiefs lead the league in dropped passes this season.
The teams’ offensive woes can blamed on their wide receivers and tight ends. Penalties, poor routes, and drops have plagued the Chiefs all season. Head coach Andy Reid said he’d consider benching Kadarius Toney this week after his poor play against the New England Patriots.
The Chiefs are open to changing up the roster late in the season.
The Kansas City Chiefs work out to pass catchers
According to Aaron Wilson with KPRC, the Chiefs worked out tight ends Izaiah Gathings and E.J. Jenkins.

Gathings is a rookie UDFA who spent time with the New York Jets this spring. Jenkins is a rookie UDFA who was signed to the Philadelphia Eagles practices squad in November.
The Chiefs shouldn’t stop looking for help there. There are two other former Eagles pass catchers they should go after. Tight end Zach Ertz is a free agent. DeSean Jackson said last week he’d like to play for the Chiefs.
It’ll be interesting to see if the Chiefs will pull the trigger and sign help before the playoffs.
