The Kansas City Chiefs and the Los Angeles Rams picked up road wins last Sunday thanks to award-winning performances from star offensive players. Kansas City Chiefs QB Patrick Mahomes: Near Perfect Against Las Vegas
Mahomes went 27 of 34 for 298 yards and two scores against the Raiders in Week 12. The Texas Tech product threw a 39-yard touchdown to wideout Rashee Rice early in the fourth quarter, stretching his team’s lead to 11. Mahomes leaned heavily on Rice and tight end Travis Kelce, with the duo combining for 14 catches, 198 yards, and a touchdown. The Chiefs entered the contest down receivers Mecole Hardman and Kadarius Toney last Sunday, but it didn’t stop the Kansas City Chiefs gunslinger.
Baltimore Ravens wide receiver Zay Flowers and Pittsburgh Steelers tight end Pat Freiermuth also played well last Sunday. Flowers had six touches for 62 yards and two scores, including the final touchdown in the fourth quarter of a 20-10 win. Meanwhile, Freiermuth had nine catches for 120 yards in a Pittsburgh victory.
Los Angeles Rams RB Kyren Williams: Runs Wild Against Lowly Cardinals
Los Angeles Rams rusher Kyren Williams had a career day in Week 12, rushing 16 times for 143 yards while catching six passes for 61 yards and two touchdowns. Williams was fresh off the injured reserve (IR), but the Cardinals had no answer for the Arizona product.
Philadelphia Eagles receiver DeVonta Smith and San Francisco 49ers running back Christian McCaffrey had days worth of Offensive Player of the Week recognition. Smith had seven receptions for 106 yards and a touchdown in his team’s epic overtime win over the Bills, while CMC tallied 114 yards and two touchdowns on Christmas Day.
