Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes has seen his family make headlines for, well, not the best reasons in the past. While Mahomes himself has established himself as one of the most successful players in NFL history, with three Super Bowl titles and counting, his family has often besmirched his good name with their antics.
His younger brother, Jackson Mahomes, has created controversy in the past with his Tik Tok dances, notably one done on an emblem in Washington that was made to honor the late Sean Taylor, who was murdered during a burglary attempt in his home. More recently, the younger Mahomes pled guilty to misdemeanor battery for shoving a waiter during an incident at a night club in 2023.
That incident also saw three felony charges for aggravated sexual battery brought against him, but those were dropped when the alleged victim refused to cooperate with prosecutors.
Mahomes’ father, Patrick Mahomes Sr., was arrested in February of 2024 with his third DWI.
Fortunately, a little-known member of his family recently made headlines for a better reason.
Graham Walker, the Half-Brother of Patrick Mahomes, Tried Out for the Kansas City Chiefs

Late last week and over the weekend, NFL teams held their rookie mini camp. Not only is this short string of practices a chance for the coaching staffs to start getting familiar with their team’s draft picks, but it also presents some players with the opportunity to try out for NFL rosters.
One of the players that was invited to try out for the Chiefs was Graham Walker, a tight end who spent the 2024 season with Rice after three seasons at Brown.
Walker happens to be the half-brother of Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes:

Interestingly, last season was Walker’s first as a tight end. He had 24 receptions for 252 yards in his first season at the position.
He was a wide receiver during his three years at Brown, his best season coming in in 2021 when he had 53 receptions for 658 yards and six touchdowns.
NFL Fans React to the Kansas City Chiefs Giving Graham Walker a Tryout

Walker, of course, did not get drafted in the 2025 NFL Draft. He also was not signed by any team as an undrafted free agent. Hoping to continue his football career, he accepted the Chiefs’ invitation to try out for their roster.
And some fans were not thrilled about it:
Too small for TE in the NFL. Work on them routes and prepare to go over the middle A LOT to make it. Wish him the best.

Many fans were quick to point out that Walker is Mahomes’ half-brother, the son of Patrick Sr.
As of this writing, Kansas City has not signed their quarterback’s little brother to a contract.
