Kansas City Chiefs Receiver Arrested
The receiver was booked into the Johnson County jail on October 23 and no bond was set. A court date for Ross is expected to take place on Tuesday after it was listed on the sheriff’s website. The Chiefs said that they were aware of the arrest but had no further comments on the situation.
Ross joined the team last season as an undrafted free agent out of Clemson. He was unable to play his rookie year because of a season-ending foot injury. The receiver has played all seven games this season and has recorded three catches for 34 yards so far.
Update: Along with criminal damage, Ross was also charged with domestic battery in an incident that occurred yesterday.
Trouble With The Law In The NFL
This is not the first time an NFL player has been arrested this season. Just recently, another player from the Los Angeles Rams was taken into custody. Corner Derion Kendrick was arrested due to a traffic violation and carrying a concealed weapon. Like with the Chiefs, Los Angeles also did not have any comments on Kendrick’s arrest.
It will be interesting to see if Ross will be participating for the team anytime soon. This is an ongoing situation and will be updated throughout the week. There seems to be a problem in the league with players getting arrested, and everyone is wondering what the punishments from these teams will be.
