New York Giants quarterback Daniel Jones was officially been ruled out of the game against the Miami Dolphins due to a neck injury. The Giants quarterback hit his head on the ground after being taken down on a sack, causing him to be taken to the blue tent, and then to the locker room. Daniel Jones Injury
Daniel Jones and the Giants have had a rough start to the season, starting 1-4 after dropping the game to the Miami Dolphins by a score of 31-16. So far in the 2023 season, Jones has amounted to 765 passing yards, two touchdowns, and six interceptions. He has also been sacked 17 times in the last seven quarters for New York. The Giants quarterback has not lived up to his massive contract extension so far, angering New York fans everywhere.
Giants’ Struggles
The New York Giants are already without their star running back Saquon Barkley who has been out since week two with a high ankle injury. He was originally thought to return this week but was ruled “Out” just hours before kickoff. Without Barkley and Jones on the lineup, New York is without both of their star players on offense.
The Giants are looking at a long climb back if they want to have a shot at a postseason birth this season. So far, they look like one of the worst teams in the league. We do not yet know the extent of Jones’ injury, but we will keep you updated on the situation as it unfolds. If it is for an extended period, New York will have a much more difficult time competing in games.
