The Kansas City Chiefs are preparing an attempt to make history in 2024 by becoming the first team in NFL history to win three consecutive Super Bowls. They have already won three in the last five seasons, with quarterback Patrick Mahomes winning the game’s MVP Award each time.

Indeed, Mahomes has established himself as arguably the best quarterback of his generation. He is a six-time Pro Bowl selection, two-time First Team All-Pro, two-time NFL MVP, and as mentioned, a three-time Super Bowl Champion.

It is well-known by now that the 2028 Olympics, which will be held in Los Angeles, California, will have flag football as one of the events. There are already several NFL players that have expressed their interest in representing the United States on the flag football team.

A couple of weeks ago, New York Jets quarterback Aaron Rodgers put trade rumors to bed when he said the next time he and former Green Bay Packers teammate Davante Adams play on the same team again might be in the 2028 Olympics.

Dallas Cowboys linebacker Micah Parsons also wants to compete in the Olympics, as he stated in a series of social media posts during the last few days of this year’s Games in Paris, France.

Mahomes, too, has expressed interest in competing in the flag football event, much to the dismay of one professional flag football player.

United States flag football quarterback Darrell Doucette has gone viral in recent days over his outrage that NFL players think that they might be better at the sport than professional players like himself.

He recently made the outlandish claim that he is actually a better player than Mahomes, a two-time NFL MVP, because his football IQ is higher:

“At the end of the day, I feel like I’m better than Patrick Mahomes because of my IQ of the game, Doucette said. “I know he is the best in the league. I know he is more accurate. I know he has all these intangibles, but when it comes to flag football, I feel like I know more than him.”

Kansas City Chiefs Quarterback Patrick Mahomes Reacts to Darrell Doucette’s Comments

In response to the video of Doucette saying these things, Mahomes posted the following GIF on X (formerly Twitter):

The audio of the GIF states, “I’m like what’d he say [expletive] me for?”

Obviously, Mahomes and Doucette disagree over who has the higher football IQ, and most fans probably will side with the three-time Super Bowl MVP.
