Dez Bryant isn’t shy about letting his thoughts known when it comes to the NFL and wide receivers. So for him to talk about the Kansas City Chiefs and one of their most recent acquisitions.
Everyone knew how poorly equipped the Chiefs were when it came to the wide receiver department, so Bryant understands how big the acquisition of Marquise Brown was for a team that badly needed help with their offensive playmaking.

The former Dallas Cowboys wide receiver took to social media to post a couple of tweets that express how thrilled he was with the Chiefs finally finding a wideout that can take the pressure off Patrick Mahomes, Travis Kelce, and Rashee Rice on offense.
He first celebrated how the Chiefs finally have a reliable wideout that can complement Rice and make their pass game even more lethal:
Chiefs got @Primetime_jet
It’s up!!!! 🔥 🛩️

He also claimed that Hollywood Brown finally has a QB who can understand and maximize his ability as a wideout:
Hollywood Brown is a Talent that’s been misused since he’s been in the NFL
I’m looking forward to seeing him flourish with the chiefs

It’s high praise for Hollywood Brown, but some fans may doubt his words if they only look at his most recent performances for the Arizona Cardinals. In his two seasons there, he only caught 118 passes for 1283 yards and seven TDs. Those numbers don’t necessarily scream star player to a casual NFL fan.
Is Hollywood Brown the right wideout the Chiefs have been looking for?

The Chiefs have struggled to find the one-for-one replacement for Tyreek Hill ever since he took off for the warm climate of South Beach. While they now have Rice as a WR to build on, last season showed that they still need a bona fide wideout who can take the lead.
Brown has shown that he can play under the right circumstances. In his final year with the Baltimore Ravens, he caught 91 passes for 1008 yards and six TDs. Moreover, it’s important to remember that Lamar Jackson splits his time between passing under center and scrambling to confuse the defense.
While Mahomes is also a scrambling QB, he’s more known for his rocket of an arm that can reach his wideouts. Likely, Brown can finally reach elite numbers with such a QB throwing darts his way.
