The Kansas City Chiefs are on top of the football world. They just won Super Bowl LVIII against the San Francisco 49ers. This was the Chiefs’ third Super Bowl title in five seasons.
Right now, Kansas City is a dynasty in the NFL. Did they have to sell out to get these Super Bowl rings? One major sports media personality seems to believe so.
Skip Bayless Calls Out Andy Reid
Skip Bayless of FS1’s Undisputed commented on an earlier article written by Ryan Glasspiegel of the New York Post. In that article, Glasspiegel discussed audio of a heated exchange between Chiefs TE Travis Kelce and head coach Andy Reid. This ended up becoming a meme that went viral.
Many people are curious as to what exactly was said during that heated exchange. However, the article revealed that the audio is likely going to be buried forever thanks to the Chiefs. As a result, Skip Bayless had a strong response to this.
Bayless claimed that Kelce attacked Reid and that he was abusive towards him. Because of this, Bayless believes that Reid “sold his soul” to win Super Bowl LVIII.
“Andy (Reid) sold his coaching soul for that SBowl.” -Skip Bayless
Fans React to Skip Bayless’ Comments
It is no secret that Skip Bayless can be a polarizing figure in the sports media world. As a result, there tends to be strong reactions to his comments from football fans. See what some of these fans had to say about Bayless’ latest comment:
“Jerry would sell his soul to make an NFC title game at this point.”
“Stop being so damn dramatic.”
“Any other player would have been benched.”
“You are the sorest loser around.”
“All teams should take note. The Chiefs are really good at doing whatever it takes to win the Superbowl.”
“Absolute disgrace.”
Kansas City Chiefs Moving Forward
The Chiefs have a chance to make NFL history by being the first team ever to win three straight Super Bowl titles next season. Because of this, Travis Kelce has already announced that he will be returning next season to attempt to make NFL history. Despite how some football fans may feel about that, it is likely that Andy Reid and Travis Kelce will have to work together once again to try to run it back.
