During a recent episode on a podcast, Chicago Bears quarterback Justin Fields had some nice things to say about the Pittsburgh Steelers. Fields has been the source of much speculation in the trade market this offseason.
The Pittsburgh Steelers had the best odds to land Fields
The Steelers were the betting favorite to land Fields heading into this week. However, the Atlanta Falcons overtook them on Wednesday morning due to Fields’ likes on Instagram. Fields unfollowed the Bears and NFL because of the constant reports surrounding his future in Chicago.
Justin Fields praised the Steelers
Fields was shown to be following several Falcons offensive players. It only seemed logical that Fields, who grew up as a fan of the Falcons, would want to play in Atlanta. However, Fields gave an answer to a question on the 33rd Team’s “St. Browns Bro” podcast that should give Steelers fans hope.
Fields was asked what his favorite road NFL stadium was to play in. Fields praised Acrisure Stadium and the Steelers fanbase.
“Pittsburgh, Pittsburgh was lit too, just with the Terrible Towels in rookie year.” Fields said. He said Pittsburgh was in his top three away stadiums.
The Steelers want to bring in a new QB
The Steelers have an excellent chance to trade for Fields this offseason. Steelers head coach Mike Tomlin said he wanted a quarterback competition for the starting job next season.
The betting markets went one way with Fields’ Instagram this week. Will they correct back to the Steelers after Fields comments about the fans?
