Chicago Bears quarterback Justin Fields made a significant decision on his Instagram page in an uncertain offseason. Bears fans wished him the best after three years in Chicago.
The Bears are choosing between keeping Fields or trading him to another team and picking a quarterback with the first overall pick in the 2024 NFL Draft.
The Chicago Bears had trade conversations about Fields
Albert Breer with Sports Illustrated reported big news on Monday. Breer wrote the Bears had conversations with multiple teams at the Senior Bowl about trading Fields. From those talks, the Bears were able to gauge what return they could expect to receive for Fields.
Justin Fields is not following the Bears on Instagram
On Monday evening, multiple fans pointed out Fields chose not to follow the Bears on his Instagram account. Many people believe Fields recently unfollowed the team.

However, it’s unclear if Fields ever followed the Bears Instagram page. As of this publishing, Fields follows the Bears on X. He also has the name Chicago Bears on his Instagram and X page. Fields’ profile picture on Instagram shows him in a Bears uniform.
Fields’ Instagram unsettles Bears fans
From a PR standpoint, Fields should probably be following the Bears unless he wants to invite questions about his loyalty to the team. Fields is aware the Bears are making a decent between keeping or trading him this offseason. Not following the Bears on social media will cause publicity.
Bears fans seemed upset at the news Fields wasn’t following the team on Instagram. Many fans wished him the best if the Bears do trade him. Here are the best takes on X of fans thinking Fields is out on Chicago.

Sad that this is how it'll end…I'll never forget the excitement the day we drafted him. The way some of these fans, and media folks talk about him now is unfortunate. pic.twitter.com/lnQs0iI6rS

If he actually did unfollow the Bears social media page it’s probably because he’s worn out from seeing 50 articles a day about his future, not to mention meaningless speculation like this article offers. Leave him in peace.
