Dallas Cowboys owner Jerry Jones was ordered by a court to submit a DNA test regarding a lawsuit involving a 27-year-old woman that claims Jones is her father.
The lawsuit was originally filed in 2022, but Jones was just now ordered to submit the DNA test, according to the Dallas Morning News.
27-year-old Alexandra Davis’ attorney says it’s a ‘huge victory’ for Dallas Cowboys owner Jerry Jones to have to submit DNA
The lawyer representing the alleged estranged daughter, Kris Hayes, said this new development is a “huge victory” in an article from Pro Football Talk.
“Alex is in a position where she really no longer has to hide her truth or live under the thumb of fear and maybe she’s going to finally get some peace and we hope other families will have that same benefit from the judge following the law,” Hayes said.
Before the lawsuit was filed, there was a financial agreement between Jerry Jones and Davis’ mother. The agreement, which the lawsuit is attempting to invalidate, required Davis’ mother to keep quiet about Jerry Jones’ fatherhood in exchange for financial compensation.
Jerry Jones and his team of lawyers argued that the father of Davis was the man her mother was married to at the time.
Davis created an entirely separate lawsuit alleging that Jerry Jones defamed her in his original response to the lawsuit. That separate lawsuit was dismissed, but it has been refiled by Davis and her lawyer.
Many fans do not have empathy for Dallas Cowboys owner Jerry Jones
Knowledge of the involvement of Dallas Cowboys owner Jerry Jones in a paternity lawsuit such as this one is nothing new. The lawsuit itself has been around for two years at this point.
Many fans are surprised to see that the lawsuit is still going on, but almost no fans feel that Jerry Jones is being unfairly treated.
Good! He is so sleazy. I’ve seen him at Bistro31 with women that could be his granddaughters. So flipping gross.

Jerry Jones purchased the Dallas Cowboys for just $150 million and they have since grown into the most valuable franchise in sports with a valuation of $9 billion, according to Forbes.
The issue was argued on Feb 19, but it is unclear what the timetable is for the submission of DNA.
