BREAKING: Atlanta Falcons Sign 2X All-Pro WR Afer Losing Rondale Moore For Season

The Atlanta Falcons are signing a two-time All-Pro kick returner and wide receiver to their roster this preseason after reports surfaced earlier this week that they lost Rondale Moore for the entirety of the 2024 season.

The Falcons traded with the Arizona Cardinals for Moore this spring as the front office looked to boost the receiver corps for Kirk Cousins this season. Moore had a chance to earn the WR4 spot in training camp.

As previously discussed on GH, Moore will miss the season after sustaining a knee injury during  Wednesday’s practice:

According to a report from Ian Rapoport of the NFL Network, Moore’s injury is considered season-ending.

Wednesday, Moore was carted off the field after suffering a right knee injury.

The upcoming season was set to be the final year of Moore’s rookie deal who was trying to position himself to cash in in 2025 on a new contract extension in his first working with quarterback Kirk Cousins.

Moore gave the Falcons extra options on special teams. He was previously used as a kick and punt returner for the Cardinals. The Falcons signed a player on Saturday who will give the team a speedy option at receiver and on special teams.

The Atlanta Falcons are signing Jakeem Grant

Per Tom Pelissero with the NFL Network, Jakeem Grant is signing with the Falcons on a one-year deal:

A two-time second-team All-Pro, Grant is coming off consecutive season-ending injuries. But he’s been dynamic when he’s on the field. More speed for Atlanta.

Grant has recorded 100 receptions for 1,140 yards and seven touchdowns. He last caught a pass for the Chicago Bears in 2021.

Grant has 1,228 yards and four touchdowns from punt returns from the 2016-21 seasons. He has 2,699 yards and two touchdowns from kick returns during that span.

If Grant can stay healthy, Cousins could have an explosive deep threat in the regular season.
