The Atlanta Falcons and Rondale Moore’s worst fears were confirmed after the wide receiver suffered a knee injury during practice on Wednesday.
According to a report from Ian Rapoport of the NFL Network, Moore’s injury is considered season-ending.
Wednesday, Moore was carted off the field after suffering a right knee injury.
The upcoming season was set to be the final year of Moore’s rookie deal who was trying to position himself to cash in in 2025 on a new contract extension in his first working with quarterback Kirk Cousins.
Moore, 24, had been working towards making a significant impact on the Falcons’ offense after spending his first three seasons with the Arizona Cardinals where he caught 135 passes for 1,201 yards and three touchdowns.

The Falcons placed Moore on injured reserve and will now look to fill a pretty big void in new quarterback Kirk Cousins’ arsenal.
Where Does Atlanta Falcons WR Depth Chart Stand After Rondale Moore Injury
Prior to his injury, Moore was in prime position to push for the Falcons’ No. 4 receiver job.
Moore’s injury could create an opportunity for KhaDaref Hodge, Chris Blair, or Austin Mack to take advantage of additional reps with the starting offense and climb the depth chart at receiver.
