The Jacksonville Jaguars suffered brutal losses in more ways than one after Week 15. Not only did they lose the game to the Baltimore Ravens but the status of QB Trevor Lawrence for Week 16 became a question mark. Now, the Jaguars have given a big update on Lawrence’s status.
Trevor Lawrence Is Going to Practice
According to Ian Rapoport of NFL Network, Jacksonville Jaguars head coach Doug Pederson said Lawrence is going to practice today. That should be a very positive sign that he will play Sunday against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. However, Lawrence still needs to clear the NFL’s concussion protocol before that becomes official.
Jacksonville Jaguars’ Impact
What does this mean for the Jacksonville Jaguars? It means they have a chance at keeping their starting quarterback in a critical spot. Right now, the Jaguars have an 8-6 record. As a result, they are tied with the Indianapolis Colts and Houston Texans for the AFC South lead.
Trevor Lawrence has played in all 14 games this season for the Jaguars. How has he done in those games? Well, he has 3,525 passing yards, 18 touchdown passes, and 10 interceptions. Now, the Jaguars get ready to face a Buccaneers team that ranks 31st in passing yards allowed per game.
