Despite not having an official release date for EA Sports College Football 25, there is a lot of news that continues to trickle out about it. One of the questions is what awards would you be able to win after it was reported that the National College Football Awards Association has opted out of being involved in game. That means the Bednarik, Biletnikoff, Davey O’Brien, Doak Walker, Grozo, Jim Thorpe, Maxwell, Outland and Ray Guy Awards will not be in the game.
While it was speculated that the Heisman Trophy was going to be involved, it will be in the game as the official Twitter account of the Heisman Trophy announced their participation. As of this writing, the financial details were not disclosed. It will be interesting as in previous iterations of the game, you could win the Heisman Award through Road to Glory and Season/Dynasty modes.
With a majority of the postseason awards not being included in the game, it is at least a good look to have the most commonly-known award be associated with the game.
What Heisman Award players will be included in the EA Sports College Football 25 game?
While we do not necessarily know what details are going to be in this game, there are going to be zero former Heisman Trophy winners in college football. There is the possibility of both Jayden Daniels and Caleb Williams being included as they were in college football last season but their inclusion has not been officially announced.
The big thing this could do is create a Madden Ultimate Team-like mode where former Heisman Trophy winners could be a collection. This way we can have former players with licensing rights to the players with the Madden franchise and have college football players from the past be involved in the game.
