Daniel Harris: Short Tenure with Georgia Football
Daniel Harris, a four-star recruit in the class of 2023, played his high school ball at Gulliver Prep in Miami, Florida, before committing to the Georgia Bulldogs. The six-foot-two defensive back and brother of former Texas A&M pass rusher Donell Harris did not play for the Bulldogs this season. Harris is the second corner behind NFL prospect Kamari Lassiter, per Ourlads, but will leave Athens after just one season.
Georgia Bulldogs: Miss CFP Despite One-Loss Campaign
The Georgia Bulldogs went 12-1 this season but got snubbed by the College Football Playoff committee for the first time in three seasons. The Bulldogs entered the SEC Championship undefeated but fell to the one-loss Alabama Crimson Tide, 27-24. Crimson Tide quarterback Jalen Milroe played well in the win, tallying 231 yards and two scores. Georgia will play the Florida State Seminoles in the Orange Bowl, ranking as the No. 6 team in the country.
With the one loss, head coach Kirby Smart and the Bulldogs cannot win their third title in a row. Despite suffering a loss in 2021, the Bulldogs made the College Football Playoff, beating the Michigan Wolverines and Alabama Crimson Tide en route to their first title since 1980. The Georgia Bulldogs won again in 2022, going undefeated while knocking off the Ohio State Buckeyes and TCU Horned Frogs, winning their second title in as many years.
