George Kittle, tight end for the San Francisco 49ers, recently claimed that the team already had plenty of talent on their team in his appearance on ‘Pro Football Talk’. With many NFL teams making trades left and right to improve their rosters for the upcoming NFL season, Kittle remarked that good players can be found anywhere and that the team had great talent in their team like Nick Bosa, Christian McCaffrey, Fred Warner, and Trent Williams.
The San Francisco 49ers finished the 2024 NFL season last in the NFC West with six wins and 11 defeats. In their very last game of the season, the 49ers played against the Arizona Cardinals and lost the game with a final score of 47-24.
“I just feel like at any moment you could kick a window wide open. Like that’s how I feel this year. You need good players on our team. Yeah, but like, you can find good players anywhere. And when you still have Nick [Bosa] under contract, Fred Warner under contract, Christian McCaffrey under contract. Trent Williams, like there’s still plenty of talent on this roster. Brandon Aiyuk tore his ACL but he’ll be back. You see guys bounce back from ACLs all the time. It’s not a serious injury anymore, though, so it’s just like the talent’s still there. Our coaching staff is still there,” George Kittle said on ‘Pro Football Talk’.
George Kittle himself managed 78 receptions in the 2024 NFL season for a total of 1,106 yards, scoring eight touchdowns. The 31-year-old tight end was the 146th pick in the fifth round of the 2017 NFL Draft and has been playing for the San Francisco 49ers ever since. Before that, Kittle played college football for the Iowa Hawkeyes from 2012 to 2016.
George Kittle Asked About Pre-Super Bowl Advice For Travis Kelce
Meanwhile, George Kittle was asked on SiriusXM what advice he has for Kansas City Chiefs tight end, Travis Kelce ahead of the upcoming Super Bowl. After thinking it through, Kittle remarked that he would tell Kelce to simply yell at head coach Andy Reid again, just like he did during the 2024 Super Bowl since it clearly worked for them.
Kelce actually addressed the moment in his New Heights podcast with brother, Jason Kelce, and admitted it was wrong on his part to do that. Kelce yelling at Reid was seen after the Chiefs missed an opportunity as a result of a fumble in last year’s Super Bowl against the San Francisco 49ers.
