The Arizona Cardinals signed wide receiver Greg Dortch to his exclusive rights tender, making him a member of the team coming into the 2023 season, the receiver announced via social media.

Dortch, 24, had the best season of his young career in 2022. He had a career-high in yards, targets, receptions and touchdowns.
Not only did Dortch have a career year, but he also had an amazing year for the Cardinals as a whole. The wide receiver ranked third on the team in receptions and fourth in targets and receiving yards.
The Cardinals re-signing Dortch makes it so the team brings back a leading wide receiver amidst reports of their lead wide receiver being on the trade block.
Although DeAndre Hopkins led the Cardinals in receiving yards last season, he could be off the team heading into 2023. However, only time will tell on that front.
The key to success for the Cardinals’ Greg Dortch
One thing of note is how Dortch was utilized when he had at least a 70% snap share last season. He had 54 targets for 43 receptions and 414 receiving yards.

While this does not sound like a lot, the Cardinals receiver, in these six games had 84% of his targets, 83% of his receptions and 89% of his receiving yards.
While most of this utilization came when a majority of the team’s starting offense was out, there is reason to believe he can improve his 2022 numbers next season. The Cardinals released Chosen Anderson, A.J. Green retired and Hopkins is on the trade block.
As a leading wide receiver last season, Dortch showed the organization that he is worth every cent of his tender. Additionally, he could be in line for an expanded role in the offense with all of the turnover the receiving corps has had already this offseason.
As Dortch tweeted, “time to get to work.”
