With the calendar officially flipped to April, the 2024 NFL draft is rapidly approaching. The Florida State football program will be well represented, with 247Sports giving at least 12 former Seminoles a draft grade. Among FSU’s top professional recruits is former standout wide receiver Keon Coleman, who made a name for himself last season with numerous highlight reel catches. NFL draft guru Daniel Jeremiah of NFL Network released his updated top 50 big board on Wednesday, giving Coleman one of the biggest boost among his position.
Outside Coleman, Texas Longhorns speedster Xavier Worthy made the biggest push up the big board, jumping six spots after posting a record-breaking 4.21 40-yard dash at last month’s NFL Scouting Combine. Meanwhile, Worthy’s teammate, Adonai Mitchell, fell two spots in the rankings, likely due to average measurables.
Former Florida State Football Wide Receiver Keon Coleman: Receives High Praise From NFL Draft Expert

Jeremiah says of Coleman that the wideout “doesn’t have ideal vertical speed, but he can play above the rim and make contested catches.” Jeremiah continues, “He (Coleman) also might have the best highlight reel in this draft class, with one-handed wow catches littered throughout his tape.
Coleman never posted monster numbers with Florida State but recorded 11 touchdowns last season while helping the Seminoles post an undefeated regular season. The lengthy wideout recorded 108 catches, 1,456 yards, and 18 touchdowns across his final two seasons in Tuscaloosa.
Florida State Football: Well Represented in Top 50

Alongside Keon Coleman, the Florida State Seminoles had two other representatives among Daniel Jeremiah’s top 50 big board. Senior edge rusher Jared Verse leads the way of former Seminoles, who projects as a top-20 pick in this month’s NFL draft. Verse posted a healthy 29.5 TFLs and 18 sacks during his two years with Florida State.
Additionally, interior defensive lineman Braden Fiske is among Jeremiah’s top 50. The 300-pounder shined at last month’s combine, running a sub 4.80 40-yard dash. He had six sacks and nine TFLs in 2023.
