How does a Stack Work?
As fantasy football lovers, who doesn’t love a fantastic QB/WR stack advantage? While stacking isn’t necessarily a priority, it defiantly allows you to maximize your points in a given week. Take for instance the Patrick Mahomes and Tyreek Hill stack of the last few years. If Mahomes had a stellar performance for the week then the likely hood would be that Tyreek Hill (his #1 receiver) would have been relevant as well for that week. Here are 5 Attractive QB and WR Stacks for 2022 based off of ADP and Full PPR scoring:
#5 (Dak Prescott and CeeDee Lamb)
-
- Dak Prescott has been highly disrespected this offseason with the departure of Amari Cooper to the Clevland Browns. WR Michael Gallup still banged up from last season leaving a big hole in the receiving core. Lamb will be put in an ultra-opportunistic position to be a Top 5 Fantasy WR with so many vacated targets up for grabs. Lamb is coming off of 79 receptions for 1,102 receiving yards adding 6 total touchdowns in 2021. Lamb is currently being drafted as the WR 7 in PPR formats. Dak will also continue to be dominate in the passing game with Top 5 QB upside as he is being drafted as the QB 7 in PPR Leagues.
#4 (Derek Carr and Davante Adams)
-
- Derek Carr for the first time in his career will be with his former teammate from Fresno State Davante Adams. We all know that Carr has been considered subpar and at most average when compared to other QB’s in the league. Davante Adams knows what it means to be the best, and with his presence in Vegas I’m certain that Carr will get it done and that the two of them will go back to their old college ways. Derek Carr is currently being drafted in PPR Leagues as the QB 13 and Davante Adams as the WR 4.
#3 (Tom Brady and Mike Evans)
-
- This Stack in Particular can be considered, ” an oldie but goodie.” Tom Brady has opted to continue his legacy in the NFL after a short retirement and is back with the Bucs. Brady was a Top 5 QB last with 5,316 Passing Yards and 43 Touchdowns. His partner in crime Mike Evans has been as consistent as they come with being a top 15 receiver in PPR scoring in the last 4 years of his career. As Chris Godwin continues his ACL recovery look for Evans and Brady to continue their campaign together. Brady is being drafted as the QB 9 in PPR Leagues and Evans is being drafted as the WR 11
#2 (Justin Fields and Darnell Mooney) – Budget Stack
-
- I really like this stack for the sole purpose of upside and what you’re paying for. Fields and Mooney both showed flashes of greatness and chemistry. They were the two primary playmakers in a disorganized Bears offense. Mooney amassed 1,055 Yards with 4 touchdowns on 81 Receptions. Justin Fields on the other hand was only able to throw for 1,870 yards and 4 passing touchdowns, while also rushing for 420 yards adding an additional 2 scores. I expect Fields and Mooney to take a tremendous step up this season. For what you’re paying for in both Mooney and Fields, they could be potential League Winners in my opinion. Justin Fields is currently being drafted as the QB 18 and Darnell Mooney as the WR 25 in PPR formats.
#1 (Aaron Rodgers and Allen Lazard) – Budget Stack
-
- I think that Aaron Rodgers and the Green Bay Packers have highly looked over when it comes to fantasy this year. Sure, Davante Adams is gone. All that means is some else will need to take the reins of being Rodgers’s new favorite target. I believe that player to be now veteran WR Allen Lazard. Lazard had 40 receptions along with 513 yards adding 8 total receiving touchdowns. Due to all the vacated targets from Davante, I believe that Lazard is in line for a huge uptick in volume and opportunity. Rodgers will find a way to get it done as he always has during the regular season. Allen Lazard will emerge as a fantasy relevant receiver. Rodgers is currently being drafted as the QB 10 and Lazard as the WR 51 in Full PPR Scoring.
