In what is nearly becoming a weekly occurrence, the Colorado football program is again in the spotlight this weekend. After a relatively quiet second to last week of May, the Buffaloes are again the center of attention this weekend after a Denver Broncos insider shared a video of players gambling in a video dating back to last year.
In a Saturday tweet from Benjamin Allbright of KOA 850 AM in Denver, a video surfaced early this weekend of former and current players gambling inside the Champions Center, the showcase facility for the Colorado Buffaloes. College football fans have had a split reaction to the video, with the gambling in question commonplace among American schools.
Colorado Football: Gambling Video Surface

In the early hours of Saturday morning, Twitter (also known as X) user Tim Scheld shared a video of former and current Colorado football players gambling on-site at the university. Captioned: “Got this from a CU player source. Maybe Shilo Sanders can borrow $$$ from his teammates to settle up the bankruptcy claim. Way to go, (Deion Sanders),” the video uploaded displays several players shooting dice at the team facility. According to Josh Tolle of the Buffs Beat, former disgruntled Colorado Buffaloes corner Cormani McClain is at the center of the video. During the spring window, McClain, a former five-star mega prospect, left Colorado via the transfer portal.
On Friday, Colorado star defender Shilo Sanders, the son of head coach Deion Sanders, filed for bankruptcy. The middle son of coach Prime, Shilo, is in the act of settling an $11.8 million judgment stemming from a 2014 assault of John Darjean, a security guard at Focus Academies in Dallas. Reports indicated Darjean suffered “severe and permanent injuries including a broken neck, damage to his cervical spine, permanent neurological injuries, and irreversible incontinence.”
College Football Fans React

Friendly wagering between teammates is commonplace among most college football programs, but with Colorado football and head coach Deion Sanders, every small action becomes magnified. Colorado became a national talking point last season after Sanders’ hiring following a poor 1-11 season. Sanders and the company posted a four-win season but became a mainstay on a national broadcast.
The Buffaloes will again look to make massive improvements in 2024 with the return of quarterback Shedeur Sanders, the youngest son of the team’s head coach. He threw for 3,230 yards, 27 touchdowns, and three picks last year. The presence of the Sanders family in Boulder made college football fans quick to react on social media, with a wide range of responses to the now-viral video.

Whoever sent this video is dry snitching and is no teammate, must of been a player that was cut from the team.
