A video of a college football team went viral this week, showing Iowa Hawkeyes star Caitlin Clark massive disrespect ahead of the Final Four. Clark led her Iowa to a win Friday night over UConn, sending the Hawkeyes to the national championship game on Sunday afternoon.
Caitlin Clark is a star in the basketball world
Sunday’s game will be Iowa’s second-straight appearance in the national championship game. Iowa lost to LSU in last year’s title game, but Clark helped the team get past the Tigers in the Elite Eight on Monday night. Clark is the biggest star in women’s college basketball and is expected to be the No. 1 pick in the 2024 WNBA Draft.
Her star power has attracted the NBA’s attention, as the league is considering adding Clark to a three-point competition during All-Star Weekend next season. While she’d face heavy competition against Golden State Warriors players Stephen Curry and Klay Thompson, Clark is probably closer to their league than football players are to hers.
Duke football players think they can matchup with Clark
Brooke Pryor with ESPN recently posted a video from Duke Football’s TikTok account in which players were asked if they could beat Clark in a one-on-one basketball matchup. Nearly every player said they’d beat Clark. One said she couldn’t score on him at all.
“She can’t rock with me in the paint,” one player said.
in no way does she – or should she – need to do it, but I’d take so much satisfaction seeing Caitlin Clark absolutely obliterate every one of these Duke football players in 1v1 after watching this TikTok. https://t.co/RjqWJ07yJm pic.twitter.com/DsRuGHjs1V

College football fans react to the Clark shade from Duke
Most of the people commenting on Pryor’s tweet agree with the Duke football players. Here are the best takes of fans reacting to players on the Duke football team throwing shade at Clark.
I'm sure all these Dudebros think they can beat Serena at tennis too. (Including the commenters on this thread). Yeesh.

She wouldn’t. These are D1 college athletes that are much stronger and quicker.

As soon as she misses she won’t get the ball back in any of these games

If you think about these things objectively you would realize that she wouldn't. Didn't a division 1 basketball player almost lose a 1 on 1 game to comedian artie lange while he was on a vegas jack daniels bender? 😂

No hate towards her but 50% of boys varsity high school players could prob beat her… I’m sure majority of these guys, being D1 football players, would take her too.

Iowa womens hoops would lose to Aliquippa boys state AA champs.
