The New York Giants have had an interesting week of Free Agency. And it has become even more interesting now that the Giants have made their first of potentially QB-related move of the 2024 NFL Offseason.
New York Giants Sign Drew Lock
Per numerous sources, the New York Giants are moving to sign the former Denver and Seattle QB, offering further reassurances in the QB room:

Drew Lock’s Career So Far
Drew Lock was drafted with the 42nd overall pick in the second round of the 2019 NFL Draft. For a team that has continued to struggle at the quarterback position since Peyton Manning and his retirement, Lock was another in a long line of quarterbacks the Broncos would bring to Denver to try and revive the team.
Lock had a strong start to his career in 2019, throwing for 1000 yards in his five appearances, leading Denver to a 4-1 record in those starts. 2020 and 2021 would be an entirely different story. He would go a combined 4-12 over those starts, with 18 touchdowns against 17 interceptions.
Lock would find his way to Seattle, backing up a former New York Giant in Geno Smith. While Smith battles to convince Seattle management to keep him, Lock heads east.

Joe Schoen said repeatedly they would get a QB in free agency so don't think Drew Lock changes their draft strategy at all. Insurance.

NFL Draft Implications?
Four quarterbacks will all likely be taken very early on in the 2024 NFL Draft. For the New York Giants, owners of the 6th overall pick, this decision to sign Lock will not change the calculus for GM Joe Schoen. Trading into the top 2 selections for a quarterback may still be unrealistic, but a trade into the #3 overall selection may remain a possibility.
