A conservative and Donald Trump supporter blasted comedian and political commentator DL Hughley over his take on NFL star Saquon Barkley, who recently joined the Philadelphia Eagles in their White House courtesy call.
In one of the recent episodes of the program “The Stephen A. Smith Show,” known conservative and Donald Trump supporter Officer Tatum gave his honest take on DL Hughley blasting Squon Barkley for meeting with Donald Trump
“First of all, DL Hughley has been historically one of my favorite comedians,” Officer Tatum said. “I love DL Hughley, but I don’t know what he didn’t done. I don’t know, he bumped his head or something, but he has lost his mind. And it’s a shame that he has to go down the path of racism.”
“You know, I’ve been I’ve met Donald Trump several times. I’ve been to the White House several times. Donald Trump isn’t what they’re projecting him to be, but also the racism that exists amongst black people.”
“Why is D.L. Hughley, who claimed to be a pro black man, hating and talking down on another brother?” Tatum added. “Just because you decide to love a woman who happens not to be black, doesn’t mean you’re a sellout, and you don’t understand the black struggle. What’s the problem with that? Unless you’re a racist and you hate white people. You shouldn’t have a problem with a brother loving a white person or a brother supporting a president just for the sake of him being the commander-in-chief.”
D.L. Hughley recently criticized Saquon Barkley for attending a White House visit hosted by Donald Trump after the Philadelphia Eagles’ Super Bowl win. Hughley argued that any Black athlete who accepts such an invitation is indifferent to Black issues, specifically calling out Barkley for appearing disconnected from the struggles of the Black community.

Donald Trump Faces Snub by Select Eagles Players
The Philadelphia Eagles visited the White House to meet President Donald Trump and celebrate their Super Bowl LIX victory, but the event was marked by the absence of several key players. While the team gathered on the South Lawn, notable stars like Jalen Hurts, A.J. Brown, and DeVonta Smith were missing from the ceremony.

The decision by some players to skip the visit reignited discussions about the Eagles’ past tensions with Trump, dating back to their 2018 Super Bowl win, when the team was disinvited from the White House after reports surfaced that only a small contingent planned to attend. This time, the Eagles accepted the invitation, but nearly half the roster opted out, citing scheduling conflicts or personal reasons.

Despite the controversy, the Eagles’ visit was largely celebratory, with Donald Trump commending the team’s resilience and success.
