Tom Brady already turned in a GOAT-worthy career on the football field. The 7-time Super Bowl winner appears keen on finding similar success in the broadcast booth at FOX.
Brady is set to take over for TV analyst Greg Olsen next season to become the top analyst at FOX Sports. The 3-time league MVP has massive expectations (and a monstrous contract to go with them) as he replaces the beloved Olsen and is slated to call next year’s Super Bowl as well.
Tom Brady’s Preparation For FOX Is Just As Obsessive As Ever
Brady appears to be taking the preparation for his FOX gig as seriously as he did for any of his past football seasons. According to a report from NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport and Tom Pelissero, Brady has brought the “competitive desire to be the best” and has been putting in the work to get himself acclimated to the world of TV.
…sources say Brady is preparing the exact same way he prepared for football — with obsessive detail and a fierce and competitive desire to be the best. He’s spent countless hours doing research and studying not just the game, but the TV world.
Brady has also been in constant communication with TV veterans and experts and has already cultivated a relationship with his future play-by-play partner Kevin Burkhardt.
He’s talked to a large group of experts in the TV business, from Erin Andrews to Stephen A. Smith and anyone in between. He’s also traveled out to the FOX Studios a handful of times this year, doing dry runs with Kevin Burkhardt, who is set to be his play-by-play broadcast partner on FOX’s No. 1 team. They are said to already have great chemistry, with the network looking forward to Brady taking center stage.
