College football fans mocked Deion Sanders following Colorado’s humiliating loss to Washington State Friday night. Washington State thrashed Colorado 56-14 to knock the Buffaloes to a 4-7 record. The loss kept Colorado from being bowl-eligible in Sanders’ first season with the program.
Sanders had a lot to back up this season after the way he presented his brand following his hire at Colorado. Sanders embarrassed the players on last year’s Buffaloes squad and brought in many new players.
Colorado’s audacious 3-0 start this season didn’t have the first-year Buffaloes head coach feeling humble in September when he told 60 Minutes he was the best coach in college football. Colorado has now lost seven of their previous eight games. Following the loss to WSU, Sanders said this losing stretch has been the toughest in his life.
College football fans mock Deion Sanders after loss to WSU
Fans piled on Sanders following Friday night’s loss. Many fans think this season is a failure since Colorado failed to become bowl-eligible. I’d agree with him after how he acted this past year.
While Sanders needs time to build his program, he acted arrogantly about the process this year. He deserves criticism for not living up to his “best” coach billing after calling out Colorado players this year and last.
Here are the best takes of Sanders being mocked after going 4-7. Many of them have to do with that .

Maybe his head will start to fit through some of them doorways he was smashing it on at the beginning of the year.

Prime is a phenomenal athlete and a genuine good person. He’s not much of a coach or a recruiter. And you’re not a “hater” when you acknowledge that.
