Dallas Cowboys Interview Rex Ryan
According to Josina Anderson of CBS Sports, the Dallas Cowboys have completed an interview with Rex Ryan for their defensive coordinator position. This news was shocking to say the least, considering Ryan has not been employed by an NFL team since 2016. Now, it appears Ryan is ready to get back into the game.
Rex Ryan’s Qualifications
Rex Ryan was a head coach in the NFL for eight seasons. The first six years were with the New York Jets. He made an immediate impact, leading that team to AFC Championship appearances in his first two seasons with a rookie quarterback.
Ryan’s tenure with the Jets lasted from 2009-14. After that, he took over as head coach for the Buffalo Bills from 2015-16. Before that, he was on the defensive coaching staff for the Baltimore Ravens from 1999-2008.
