As soon as the Dallas Cowboys’ season came to a bitter end at the hands of the Green Bay Packers in the Wild Card round, you just knew that Dak Prescott was going to catch strays from all directions. True enough, the criticism has been loud and unrelenting for the runner-up of the 2023 NFL MVP race.
Former NFL defensive back turned ESPN broadcaster Louis Riddick is gladly joining in on the fun.
Louis Riddick Decimates Dallas Cowboys Star Dak Prescott
In a recent episode of ESPN’s Get Up program Riddick dropped a harsh truth bomb on the Dallas superstar. To be fair to Riddick, he premised his criticism by saying that he loves Prescott. This, however, did not prevent him from going full savage on the three-time Pro Bowler:
“Ain’t nobody fearing Dak Prescott,” Riddick said. “They fear Josh Allen. They fear Lamar [Jackson]. They fear Joe [Burrow].
“They fear Joe because of his mind because they feel as though he can deal with Patrick [Mahomes] on the same level. They fear Josh because they think Josh is just a freak and it’s hard to really defend.”

That’s some tough love right there.
Prescott will probably catch wind of this criticism sooner or later, much like he has (and will) all the other negative things that have been thrown in his direction — be it warranted or otherwise.
However, knowing the man that he is, I expect Dak to be back as good as ever next season. As he’s shown us time and time again, Prescott is not the type who cries over all this. If anything, all the naysaying is just fuel for this dude.
