“Stay and Get That Degree” – Colorado Football Fans Explode at Potential Return of Elite QB Shedeur Sanders in 2025

With an undefeated November, Colorado football could have a chance at playing for a Big 12 title in 2024. Just two years after winning one game, head coach Deion Sanders has Colorado rolling, sitting at 6-2 and winning five of their last six games. With the influx of winning, the Colorado Buffaloes have earned a new wave of media attention, with many pundits clamoring for Heisman consideration for quarterback Shedeur Sanders and two-way star Travis Hunter. An All-American last season, Hunter continues to get mocked as a top-three pick in the 2025 NFL Draft. Meanwhile, the younger Sanders has also flown up draft boards and, with a stellar end to the year, could join Hunter as a top-three pick.

Across eight games this season, Sanders has dominated, completing 73% of his passes for 21 touchdowns and six picks. With Sanders eyeing a massive payday at the NFL level, the likelihood of him returning to Boulder, Colorado, remains slim. However, earlier this week, the Heisman candidate hinted that a $10 million payday could make him forgo the 2025 NFL Draft and return to play for his dad next season. Nevertheless, Colorado football fans believe there is a realistic possibility that their program leader could return for a fifth college season.

Colorado Football Fans Ecstatic For Potential Shedeur Sanders Return

According to @SkoBuffsGoBuffs, through a video posted by Deion Sanders Jr.:

Shedeur Sanders joking about coming back for another year to play with Colorado WR Omarion Miller: “They said 10 million… I’ll be back.”

    : @DeionSandersJr

“I told them I’m tired of sacrificing, and I got to do what is right, bro. They said $10 mil, and I will be back.”

Earlier this week, while joking around with wide receiver Omarion Miller, Colorado football superstar Shedeur Sanders said he would return to the Buffaloes on a $10 million deal. In the era of NIL, player compensation is legal, potentially opening the door for Colorado’s NIL collective to match Sanders’ request. Per On3, Sanders is the highest-paid player in college football per NIL valuation at $6.2 million. On top of his NIL valuation, a $10 million single-season deal, and added sponsorships, a return to Boulder could rival the contract offered to a top-five NFL Draft pick, albeit without the length.

Last season, Shedeur Sanders threw for 3,230 yards, 27 touchdowns, and three interceptions while completing 70% of his passes. Colorado football went 4-8. However, this year, Sanders leads the Big 12 with 220 completions, 21 touchdowns, and a 73% completion percentage, while Colorado holds a 6-2 record. With the Buffalo’s massive turnaround coming in large part to another stellar year from Sanders, Colorado Buffaloes fans erupted at the idea of the signal-caller returning for another season:

Better stay and get that degree!!!

Lol I wouldn't blame him. If the Browns and Carolina the top 2 picks I'd stay 2 tbh.

    — NC'sVeryOwn (@RighteousKngFu) October 30, 2024

Why not? Cam Rising got like 10 years at Utah.

    — Prime Time Buffalo (@FolsomPrimeTime) October 30, 2024

I'm about to launch a kickstarter, $10 milly to bring 2 back one more year LFG

The way they treating young qb in the league it wouldn’t be a bad idea

    — Flying Squid (@SquidGtQ) October 31, 2024

It would def make sense if the right team is not available. Trav is a junior he comes back, with all those new dawgs coming, these boys could really do some BIG things . 🦬

    — Derrick | The Money Minister (@IAMMONUMENTAL) November 1, 2024

    Wait wait this could work…

    — cdnies (@daunis22) October 30, 2024

    We got good boosters

    — Jake Radoski (@Jake_Radoski) October 30, 2024

Shedeur, do you really want to come back for another year? It's doable, no? You going to ask Prime about it? It's a great idea!!!!! Richie

    — Sean 🌍 (@RichiOfficially) October 31, 2024

With the fan base rapidly growing, 10 mil is more than doable. @ShedeurSanders did you say this?

    — Jay “Chuck” Fields (@thechuckfields) November 1, 2024

10 Mil would miraculously appear outta nowhere, he has only played 4 years if I'm correct & he'd still have some eligibility…. Don't tempt the madness because it will come.

We would be national Champions forreal then. Big 12 would be ours.
