Florida State’s path to the College Football Playoff could hinge on the health of quarterback Tate Rodemaker. Fans seem to be betting on a recent injury rumor about Rodemaker to be true ahead of the Seminoles’ matchup with Louisville in the ACC Championship Game on Saturday night.
Rodemaker has taken over the starting job at quarterback after the team lost Jordan Travis to a season-ending injury during their win over North Alabama. Rodemaker played well enough to help the Seminoles defeat Florida, but a rumor surfaced this week that he might have suffered a concussion during the game.
Here’s a video posted by College Football Alerts of the hit that has sparked the rumor of an alleged Rodemaker concussion on social media this week.
Rodemaker did leave the game temporarily.

The Seminoles haven’t confirmed the rumor. Per Taylor Devers with Chop Chat, their coaching staff doesn’t typically divulge injury information. So it’s unclear if Rodemaker is in the concussion protocol, and all talk on social media is speculative.
This week, a video of Rodemaker passing at practice has circulated on social media. One has to wonder if Vegas has inside information about Rodemaker’s status for the Seminoles this weekend. But it looks like people think Louisville has a better chance against the Seminoles after the rumor of Rodemaker’s concussion went viral this week.
