Former NFL quarterback Colin Kaepernick has been getting attention from all over the NFL world in the last month. Another report has come out that another former NFL quarterback called out Kaepernick for trying to come back into the league. Cam Newton made headlines after he was asked about his potential return to the league.
Cam Newton fears he’d bring ‘dysfunction’ as backup: ‘Like bringing Colin Kaepernick’ https://t.co/XVSlYxxdtR

Cam Newton Comments On Colin Kaepernick
The former Carolina Panthers quarterback made headlines earlier this year after stating that he thinks that there is not 32 current quarterbacks that are better than him right now which has caused some to speculate an NFL comeback. After Newton was asked about a potential comeback, he responded with, “I’m just gonna give you guys some clickbait, so to speak. I said there’s not 32 guys better than me. I still feel that right now.”
He continues on by taking a shot at Kaepernick saying, “It’s bigger than just bringing on a talent. It’s almost similar – and I don’t want to just name drop – but it’s like bringing Colin Kaepernick to the fold. What’s it going to bring?”
Where Both Players Stand
Cam Newton has not been on an NFL roster since 2021 after being with the league since 2011. In his career, he amounted to 32,382 passing yards and 194 touchdowns. He was even able to bring Carolina to the Super Bowl in the 2015 season where they lost to the Denver Broncos 24-10. He has entertained a comeback to the league since leaving, but it still remains unlikely.
As for Kaepernick, his journey to get back into the NFL continues as he has gotten more offers to play professionally. He has been placed on the negotiation list for the B.C. Lions CFL team and has been invited to the XFL by owner Dwayne Johnson. The former quarterback has since turned down the XFL job and is unlikely to pursue the CFL job.

Cam Newton shouldn’t have too much to say. He focuses more on the way he dresses, rather than the way he plays.
Colin might as well forget the NFL ! He has tried to no avail to re-enter the halls of the NFL and although he claims his abilities are good , the years have past and workouts maybe strong but his speed is to question. Not only his agility but how about the question of the problems that will eventually come into play. I dare say not many players want him calling the shots or even want to relate to him.
He never tried to get back into the NFL. Pretending to was just a part of his grift. He made far more money as a con man than he ever would have as a backup in the NFL.
Nobody cares about Kaepernick. Just go away. You’re a washed up wanna be ungrateful piece of junk.
Ungrateful for what?
I wish people would shut up about Kaepernick. He called this country things that he was living proof that it is not. He called the NFL names that his position proves they are not. Now he wants to “play” again but not in any league but the “slave trading plantation” known, to him, as the NFL. He is a washed out bad joke.
Colin Kaepernick, without having played for 7 years, is better than 75% of the persons that STARt in the NFL right now. It’s politics, and shame the reasons he gets no shot.
I’d like to see them both put their money where their mouth is…. Let’s have a competition Colin Kaepernick vs Cam Newton that I ‘d like to see!
Cam Newton was good before he injured his shoulder. after that, he couldn’t throw a 30-yard pass.
As for his comment about Kapernick, we’ll, he wouldn’t bring dysfunction. The dysfunction would already be with dense players.
It’s important that Colin maintain’s his self confidence and pride. He might should consider calling it quits for the NFL. Black players before him like Warren Moon (not being given a shot at QB and having to go to CFL), like James Harris being being benched after playing excellent football to make way for a very average QB in Pat Hayden. Bigoted America, at the urging of Pres Trump has blackballed him. Play in the CFL and highlight the bigotry in this country as Warren Moon did without saying a word. May God bless him and give him strength!
Grown up QB taking shots at Kap for wanting to play the game he loves. Act like you were taught better. So much hate and negativity. Smh….Never liked you anyway! Sorry ass QB! Thought Id add that since we’re taking shots at folks! Only mine is true! 😉 You suck!!
The truth of his dysfunctional personality isn’t an attack. You don’t like how you are viewed and treated, change yourself.
It’s NOT football Colin wants to play, it’s NFL football he wants to play. Why? Because they pay better, and he would get more media coverage. Narcissistic people always want the attention. If he really wanted to play football because he loves playing football, he’d take what is offered.
To keep this short. Nobody can question his athletic ability given with good football role players. Added his speed could outrun any quarterback and a lot of receivers. He could definitely beat 90% of the backups and tryouts. Let’s face it some of the owners are racist. They’re more afraid he would be successful. What you got to lose if he doesn’t do well they can all make fun of him. But what the owners are afraid of and some players is that he would be successful. And we’ve seen other players keep playing after legal issues and drug issues etc…. Agreed some things he said I didn’t like (can chalk that up to youth) but there are some things he’s done for the community. Also we’ve seen some players put out in in podcast and media and news that were way worse. Also just think of the crowds they would come out to see him fail.. I would like to see him succeed personally. Thank you all.
